If the 1988/89 European Cup announced Sacchi's Milan to the world, the 1989/90 campaign confirmed their place in history. Back-to-back European Cup winners — only the second club ever to retain the trophy. Gullit, Van Basten and Rijkaard were at the absolute peak of their powers, and this red and black shirt was the uniform of the most complete club side on the planet.

The 1990 Final in Vienna saw Milan dismantle Benfica with a clinical Rijkaard goal. No team in Europe could live with them. This is the shirt of that dominance — worn during one of the greatest back-to-back title defences in the history of club football.
